President – Rob Lawry

Rob Lawry is a resident of Lewis County, New York. He teaches Earth Science at South Lewis Central School, a stone’s throw from the unconformity between the sedimentary Tug Hill and the Precambrian basement Adirondack gneisses (43.635899˚N, -75.394205˚W). He is married with four children. He is a teacher of science and math for seven years in both Illinois and New York. He is thankful that he is part this great association of dedicated professionals and Earth Science enthusiasts. “Earth Science has been an interest of mine ever since I sat in Melissa Thomas’s Earth science class in Burnt Hills back in the year 2000 (which led to me entering college as a declared Earth Science Education major and I have been encouraged that NYESTA makes professional development and field experiences that support that interest of mine, as I hope it does for you too.”
