Rosemarie served as president of the New York Earth Science Teachers Association from 2013-2015. She is currently NYESTA’s Publications Editor. Rosemarie will be the Director-at-Large for Earth science for the Science Teachers Association of New York State beginning in July 2017. She served as a Solar System Ambassador for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and an Ambassador for the Digital Library for Earth System Education. She is a member of numerous professional associations including STANYS, GSA, NAGT, NSTA, NESTA, and the New York Paleontological Society. Rosemarie has conducted numerous presentations at state and national conferences including SUNY Purchase Regional Partnership Math Science, Technology Conference, GSA National Conference, STANYS conferences, and National Science Teachers Association. Publications include Earth Science Investigations and several articles for the Science Teacher Association of New York State newsletter. She regularly conducts workshops and field trips for STANYS which have included the Marshlands Conservancy, Croton Gorge, and Catskills. She is the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Earth Science Teacher for the Eastern Section of the NAGT (Middle Atlantic states) which focuses on teaching, collaboration, and leadership. In addition, she was recognized with an Excellence in Geoscience Education from the Geologic Society of America.
